CHIMNEYS
Chimneys, like burners, come in different sizes and shapes. The flange-base chimneys were produced to fit the coronet burner. The straight sided chimneys fit the prong burners. The diameter of the chimney depended on the diameter of the burner it was to fit. Some chimneys had oval or rectangular bases to be able to fit into oval or rectangular burners. The chimney guided the smoke up and away from the lamp and reflected the light from the wick into the room.
